‘Power Of The Mind’ contains a very pertinent lyric about thinking for yourself and not being fooled by fake news. The throaty vintage soul vocals come from the Valentine Brothers, who wrote and released ‘Money’s Too Tight To Mention’ in 1982, which was later covered by Simply Red to give them their debut hit. Add in some classic house piano and this something that sounds like it could have been one of those big vocal records on Strictly Rhythm in the mid ‘90s.
