Get Fly (Dave ‘Love’ Lee Mixes)

The first digital single to be taken from our ‘Back To The Old School’ Disco Rap project is TJ Swann’s 1981 jam ‘Get Fly’, re-tracked and taken in two directions by Mr Lee. We have the Philly-flavoured ‘Rock The Message Mix’ where he reworks proceedings with an MFSB backbone, putting his remixing prowess fully on display and landing squarely in the dancefloor sweet spot. On the flip is an alternate take, The ‘Uptown Lowdown Mix’ which sets sail into lo-slung yacht rock funk territory, complete with a sizzling synth solo for good measure, a perfect compliment to TJ’s smooth NYC flow.
